Special Olympics Norfolk

Special Olympics is a global organisation that provides year-round sorts training and competition to nearly four million children and adults with intellectual disabilities in almost 200 countries.

Special Olympics Norfolk is a county branch who currently have around 60 registered athletes, alongside 100 training regularly. Seven different sports are offered; athletics, alpine skiing, artistic gymnastics, boccia, cricket, football and swimming. Some of these groups are run independently and others are in partnership with mainstream sports groups and sports organisation.

Athletics Norfolk aim to work alongside Special Olympics Norfolk to help continue increasing and supporting participation in athletics by both their athletes and coaches.
