At Athletics Norfolk , we take data protection seriously and we pride ourselves in taking proactive steps in ensuring your data is secure. All data is processed by Athletics Norfolk staff in the UK and is not sold on to third parties. We only use your information when required and retain it for as long as it is needed (usually a 12 month period for annual events) ; when that requirement has been fulfilled, the information is deleted.
We make it easy for you to opt in and out. The GDPR gives individual’s greater control over how your use personal data is used. Our procedures make sure we only contact you when we have consent to do so. If, at any time, you no longer wish to receive communication from AN you can unsubscribe. We have a privacy policy which states how we would use the data you provide.
1, To contact you regarding details of events that you have entered. i.e – timetables, info packs, cancellation etc.
2, To advise you of events that AN and its affiliates (within Norfolk) promote that may be of interest to you as being similar in nature.
Our Data Breach Response Policy states : Should there ever be a data breach or suspected data breach, our first priority will be to inform you immediately. As per the GDPR we will also advise the ICO within 72 hours.
To ensure that our approach and compliance to data protection is up to date we will audit and review twice a year at AN formal meetings – minutes and action points will be kept.
