Organised by Athletics Norfolk, the County Cross Country Championships provide competitive individual-entry races for all age groups, from juniors through to seniors and masters. The event takes place annually in January and offers county medals for the top finishers in each category.

The Championships are open to athletes who meet Norfolk eligibility criteria, which includes either:

• Birth in Norfolk, or
• A minimum of 9 months continuous residence in the county prior to the competition.

Races are held over traditional cross‑country terrain and distances appropriate to each age group. The Championships also act as an important selection opportunity for athletes aiming to represent Norfolk at inter‑county cross country events later in the season.

Athletics Norfolk coordinates county team entries for major regional and national cross country events, including the South of England Inter‑Counties and the CAU Inter‑Counties Championships.
